Mike Clark , Assistant Coach
Mike Clark, a 2002 graduate of Cortland State, enters his fourth year as a member of the Eagle staff. Clark has helped Emory to national rankings of #1, 2, 5, and 9. The Eagles have posted a 143-41 record, including a record setting 2007 season, when the Eagles tallied 43 wins, and finished second in the nation. Clark has helped the Eagles gain three regional bids, and three conference championships.
During his time at Emory, Clark has coached three All-Americans, one of which is currently in the Boston Red Sox organization, while another is playing in the Oakland Athletics organization.
Clark’s duties at Emory include working with catchers, hitters, outfielders, and coaching first base. Clark also assists with recruiting duties.
In the summer of 2006 Clark coached in the prestigious Cape Cod League where he served as an assistant with the Brewster Whitecaps. Clark helped the team make it back to the playoffs. Clark has also assisted with the Ithaca Classics in the NYCBL. Prior to the Classics, Clark coached the Finger Lakes White Sox. Both the Classics and the White Sox were collegiate summer teams in Central New York. Clark has coached high school teams in Georgia and New York.
Clark is a native of Lansing, NY, graduating with a B.S degree in Elementary Education from Cortland State in 1996. Currently, Clark resides in Douglasville, GA with his wife, Rachel and new-born son Jack.
