Scott Fletcher, Assistant Coach

Fletcher joined Emory in 1999 after 19 seasons in professional baseball, including a 15-year playing career with five different Major League Baseball organizations.

He led the Texas Rangers in hitting three consecutive years (1986-88) including a career-high .300 with 42 extra base hits in 1986. Fletcher also played with the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers.

In 1997, Fletcher managed the Charleston River Dogs, the single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Fletcher played collegiately at Georgia Southern University, whom he led to the NCAA Division I tournament in 1979.
