Gary Anderson, Assistant Coach

Gary Anderson, the former head softball coach at Agnes Scott College, joined the Emory softball staff in the summer of 2002. While at Agnes Scott, Anderson was responsible for all administrative and coaching duties of the NCAA Division III softball program.

During his stint at Emory, he has been on the 2006 and 2007 NFCA Atlantic Region Coach of the Year staffs and has helped in guiding the Eagles to four appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Anderson served as an assistant coach at Decatur High School (GA). Anderson also owned and operated professional instruction centers for both softball and baseball players and served as an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves professional baseball team.

Anderson received his bachelor's degree from Columbus College in 1979 and has also performed post undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
