Tamara Boggs, Assistant Coach

Boggs, a two-time All-American, is a 2003 graduate of Emory where she established herself as the first softball superstar in school history. She was named to the All-America third team in 2001 and the All-America first team in 2003.

Boggs was a three-time all-region first team selection and a three-time all-conference first team selection. She missed out on post-season honors in 2002 when a knee injury limited her to half the season.

She was voted the conference's Most Valuable Player her senior year after batting .609 in the conference tournament. The same year, Boggs also was chosen for the all-tournament team at the NCAA softball World Series where she batted .583.

At the time of her graduation, Boggs held the school career record in six statistical categories, including batting average, slugging percentage, and RBIs, and was in the top three in 14 categories.
Boggs helped Emory to third- and fourth-place finishes at the NCAA softball World Series, back-to-back NCAA regional titles and three straight conference championships.

She was a volunteer assistant coach with Emory in the 2004 season. She is pursuing a master's degree.
