After the month of "March Madness,"
Coach gave us the weekend off to visit our families, rest our bodies,
and focus on our studies (the semester is over for some of us in
less than a month!). Some of us went home, and some of us stayed
in Atlanta and took advantage of the many springtime festivals occurring
throughout the city.
The International Fair that takes place
on campus each spring allows students to sample and investigate
the food, music, and dance from around the world. The Dogwood Festival
that takes place in Piedmont Park, a European-esque Park in Midtown,
allows you to relax while enjoying the works of local musicians
and artists.
Last weekend was a great chance for all
of us to get ready for the last leg of our season. It is hard to
imagine my junior year is nearly over, but I know my fellow teammates
and I are ready to end this year triumphantly.
On a lighter note, I would like to thank
Lauren Haag for participating in one of Nicole and Mary's bus-ride-home
prank calls. It's a tradition that has annoyed many of our friends
and teammates, but it's great fun!
Haag, I hope that someday you actually
get 31 seconds to name all 31 Baskin Robbins flavors to win $31,000.
Love ya, Haag!
Mary Nicol is a junior from Barrington,
Ill. She would love to answer e-mail
questions from Emory recruits and fans.
