Kodi Marx MS, ATC, OTC

Kodi graduated from Mercyhurst College (Erie, PA) in 1997 with a
Bachelors of Science
in Sports Medicine. From 1998-99 she was a Graduate Assistant
Athletic Trainer with
Emory University Sports Medicine while she earned a Master of Science
in Sports Medicine
from Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA). Following her tenure
at Emory and GSU
she went to the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic (Vail, CO) to further her
training in a Fellowship
for Athletic Training (2001). Kodi is currently an Physician
Extender with Dr. Robert Karsch
at University Orthopedics here in Atlanta.
Theresa Tiemeier ATC

Theresa earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training degree from
Eastern
Kentucky University (Richmond, KY) in 1999. From 1999-2001 she
was a Graduate
Assistant Athletic Trainer with Emory University Sports Medicine while
earning her
Master of Science in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University
(Atlanta, GA).
She is currently working in Ohio.
Tate Erickson MS, ATC


In 2000, Tate graduated from Mercyhurst College (Erie, PA) with an
Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine degree. He
spent the next two years (2000-2002) as an Graduate Assistant Athletic
Trainer with Emory University Sports Medicine while earning his Master
of Science in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University (Atlanta,
GA). In the Summer of 2003, Tate completed a Fellowship in
Athletic Training at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic (Vail, CO). He
is currently the Director of the Athletic Training Fellowship at the
Steadman-Hawkins Clinic.
Kelly Melton MS, ATC

Kelly earned her Bachelors of Science in Physical Education with a concentration
in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine and a minor in Sports Administration
from the University of Louisville (Louisville, KY) in 2001. From 2001-2003,
she earned her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from Georgia State
University (Atlanta, GA) while performing her duties as a Graduate Assistant
Athletic Trainer with Emory University Sports Medicine. Kelly is currently
the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS.
Tesse Smole MS, ATC


In 2001, Tesse earned her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training with
a major in History Education from Capital University (Columbus, OH).
She spent two years (2001-2003) as an Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer
with Emory University Sports Medicine while earning her Masters of Science
in Athletic Training from Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA).
Tesse is currently the Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Scranton
(Scranton, PA).
Chris Watts MS, ATC
Chris graduated
from Valdosta State University (Valdosta, GA) in the Spring of 2002 with
a BS degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training. He worked for 2
years (2002-2004) as an Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Emory University
while earning his MS degree in Athletic Training from Georgia State University
(Atlanta, GA). Chris is currently the season intern athletic trainer
with the Atlanta Falcons NFL team.

Brian Newman, ATC, CSCS


Originally from Bellingham, WA, Brian Newman earned his Bachelors of Science in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science and from George Fox University in Newberg, OR. While there, Newman was a member of the baseball team.
Before joining Emory’s Sports Medicine team, Newman spent two seasons playing Independent league baseball in Canada. The last 2 years Newman worked in Professional baseball with the Milwaukee Brewers as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Assistant Athletic Trainer in their minor league system.
Sheri Hampton, ATC
Sheri is an Atlanta area local, originally from Marietta, Georgia. In May 2004, she received her Bachelors of Science in Education in Athletic Training from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
