GETTING TO KNOW TYLER FAITS …

Name: Tyler Faits

Favorite Food: Lobster

Favorite Movie: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder)

Favorite Television Show: Firefly

Favorite Musical Artist: Warren Zevon

A word to describe me when I am competing: Animal

A word to describe me away from the athletic venue: Weird

My most memorable athletic moment was: Assisting a goal while playing right defender in the Western New England Preparatory School Soccer Association all-star game.

What I like most about Emory: My new friends, of course

I would like to switch places for the day with: Nobody. I love my life, not anyone else’s.

My favorite place on the Emory campus: Turman

Favorite pro athlete:  Steve Cherundolo, US World Cup

My favorite class at Emory and why: Organic Chemistry.  It actually explains why reactions happen the way they do.  Also, Dr. Weinschenk is the man.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: My FAME leaders Katie Goth and Kathryn Chou, as well as all the friends I’ve made here.  There are too many to name.

The sport I would be playing if I wasn’t running/on the track and field team: Soccer. No question about it, soccer is my sport.

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: Immanuel Kant, Abraham Lincoln, and Warren Zevon

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you: “Never give up!” from a Nintendo game called Superspike V-ball

Tyler is a freshman from Southwick, MA. He would love to answer e-mail questions from Emory recruits and fans.
