GETTING TO KNOW ROB LEVENTHAL …

Name: Rob Leventhal

Favorite Food
: Wingnuts - cheap and effective

Favorite Movie: 28 days later - highly underrated and fun to watch as well

Favorite Television Show: Flava of Love 2 - Flava Flav just tells it how it is

Favorite Musical Artist: Jimi Hendrix

A word to describe me when I am competing:  Bold

My most memorable athletic moment was: Winning the 800 at indoor conference as a sophomore over the eventual national runner-up

What I like most about Emory: Academic and social diversity - you can learn a lot just by living here

I would like to switch places for the day with: Tiger Woods

My favorite place on the Emory campus: The track

Favorite pro athlete:   Haile Gebrselassie & Dwyayne Wade - I couldn't choose

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: Orlando Magic ... what a mistake

My favorite class at Emory and why: Military Ethics (Phil 235)- the teacher was amazing and it was a very informative and interesting class

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: Kenneth Murrah '55C, '58L- very respectable and generous person who has guided many people towards Emory

Any pre-meet/competition rituals:   Be awake three hours before a race, even if it means waking up at 4 am

The sport I would be playing if I wasn’t on the track and field/cross country teams: Racquetball, but I'm horrible at it. Or x-box

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: Immanuel Kant, Johann Fichte, and Georg Hegel - I'd like to see them argue with each other about freedom

The best advice I have ever been given: “You can be good at anything if you practice 3 hours a day”

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you: I was adopted

Rob is a senior from Maitland, FL . He would love to answer e-mail questions from Emory recruits and fans.
