GETTING TO KNOW ...

Name: Kimberly Bandy

Favorite Food: Dark Chocolate

Favorite Movie: Cinderella Man

Favorite Television Show: Law & Order

Favorite Musical Artist:  Offspring

A word to describe me on the field:  Intense

A word to describe me off the field:  Sincere

My most memorable athletic moment was: Playing center field in high school, while chasing a fly ball, I stepped in a huge hole and fell. But I got back up and still caught the ball.

My most memorable Emory athletic moment:  At UAA's, I had a great hit off of our great rival WASH U's star pitcher - however, I'm sure it was because earlier in that at-bat I missed a very important signal from Coach, a mistake which I'm sure led to the insane amounts of adrenaline and intensity which were released on the ball.

What I like most about Emory:  It's in the beautiful ATL

I would like to switch places for the day with:  Danika Patrick

The best thing about being part of the Emory Softball Team is:  As a group, on or off the field, we're pretty darn intimidating.

My favorite place on the Emory campus:  The Glenn Memorial sanctuary

Favorite pro athlete:  Sorry, there are two: Peyton Manning and Brian McCann

The sports teams I followed when I was younger:  My dad usually had auto racing on the tv.  That's the only sport I remember watching much of.  I was a Buddy Lazier fan.

Favorite Sporting Event to Watch:  The month of pro-baseball where the National League plays the American League

My favorite class at Emory and why:  Professor: Robert Coleman.  Physics: How Things Work.

Any pre-game rituals:  No rituals, unless it's visiting the trainer for tending the scrapes and bruises.

The sport I would be playing if I wasn’t playing softball: Gymnastics

Ten years from now I see myself:  Hopefully a lot wiser, and not paying many college-loan debts.

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you:  It changes with every tight spot I get into.

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you:   There's a reason people don't know those things;)

Kim is a sophomore from Duluth, Georgia. She would love to answer e-mail questions from Emory recruits and fans.
