With this year's recognition, Fawsett becomes one of two Emory players who have earned first-team honors three times, joining Tim Garrett (1988-90). On the season, the senior averaged 18.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

Allen received honorable mention last season. He averaged 15.1 points and 4.1 assists per game this season.

This is Hall's first honor. The junior averaged 18.0 points and 4.9 rebounds per game on the season.

Freshman Spiros Ferderigos received honorable mention.

Three players are the most Emory has sent to the all-conference team since 1990.

(Feb. 26) In his college swan song, Emory University's Chase Fawsett tied his career high with 35 points to help the Eagles beat Case Western Reserve University (Ohio), 102-75.

This is the ninth consecutive year Emory has ended its season with a win. Emory is 14-5 all-time in season finales.

Emory's last four season finales have been against Case Western Reserve. In all four games, Fawsett has been the leading scorer for the Eagles. In those games, he scored 21, 27, and 19 points, respectively.

Fawsett's 35 points today is a school record for most points in a season finale, most points in a home finale and most points in a senior finale.

David Schaaf closed out his Emory career on Feb. 24, 2001, at Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) with 30 points, 11 rebounds, six blocks, three steals and three assists in 40 minutes. That was the previous Emory record for points in a season finale and senior finale. The Emory home finale record was 29 points by Terry Gorsuch on Feb. 17, 1991, against Washington (Mo.).

The game also was the senior finale for guard Rashawn Allen, who scored nine points and dished out five assists. Allen finishes his career seventh on the school's all-time list for career points and in the top three for career three-point field goals, career free throws, career assists, and career steals.

Fawsett ends his four years as the second-leading career scorer in school history. He also is in the top five in the career categories of field goal percentage, free throws made, rebounds, blocks and games started.

Jeff Hall scored 18 points, shooting 4-for-8 from three-point range. He ends the season with 91 three-point field goals, shattering the school record of 78 set by Robert Spivey in the 2000-01 season.

Spiros Ferderigos, who only played five minutes in the first half due to foul trouble, ended up with 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists in 20 minutes. He scored 298 points this season, third highest in school history by a freshman.

Alex Ford-Carther came off the bench to contribute nine points and four rebounds, and fellow reserve Barry Corrado added seven points and nine rebounds.

The win is the 15th of the season for Emory, its highest win total since the 1989-90 season when it had a 25-4 record. Overall, the 15 wins ties for the third highest total ever by the Eagles.

Emory's 102 points today is a season high. Its last 100-point game also was against Case Reserve back on Jan. 10 of last season. For the season, Emory averaged 79.7 points per game on offense, seventh highest in school history and the second highest in the last 15 seasons.

(Feb. 20) Emory University was again thwarted in its bid for victory No. 15, falling 84-62 at New York University.

Jeff Hall led the Eagles (14-10, 5-8) with 15 points. Eric Barvin added 11 points.

For only the seventh time in 24 games this season, the Eagles were limited to single-digit assists with six.

Emory closes out its season Saturday at home against Case Western Reserve (Ohio).

(Feb. 18) Spiros Ferderigos scored a career-high 23 points in a 79-72 loss at Brandeis University (Mass.).
The freshman guard added six rebounds in 31 minutes. His previous high was 21 points against LaGrange (Ga.) Jan. 5.

Starters Jeff Hall and Chase Fawsett chipped in with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Barry Corrado came off the bench to rack up seven points and five rebounds in 19 minutes.

Emory had a 13-point lead, 47-34, with 13 minutes left in the game before the home team pulled off its rally.

The Eagles' next win would be their 15th of the season, the most since the 1989-90 season when Emory had 25 victories.

(Feb. 17) Emory University's Chase Fawsett has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team, sponsored by ESPN The Magazine. This marks the second straight year that Fawsett has been awarded such an honor.

His name goes on the national ballot for Academic All-America team to be announced in March
The senior had a 3.66 cumulative GPA with a major in biology (pre-medicine).

Fawsett is averaging 18.8 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 54.2 percent from the field. Fawsett has scored 20 or more points 10 times this season. He ranks currently ranks second all-time in school history in career points and field goal percentage, third in career rebounds, and fifth in career free throws made.

The Academic All-America team honors the best student-athletes. Voting is conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

(Feb. 14) Emory University won in triple overtime, 93-87, against University of the South (Tenn.). This is the first game in the Eagles' history that has played to triple overtime.

In the second overtime, Emory trailed by seven, 81-74, with one minute left to play. The Eagles scored the next seven points, capped by a Spiros Ferderigos basket with 16 seconds left to force a third overtime.

Sophomore Eric Barvin once again broke his personal rebound record with 15 rebounds in the game. His previous record was 12, which he accomplished in the previous game versus the University of Chicago.

This game is the fourth game in this season where five players have scored 10 or more points. Jeff Hall scored the most points with 19, followed by Rashawn Allen (17), Chase Fawsett (15), Alex Ford-Carther (14) and Spiros Ferderigos (12).

Sophomore Ford-Carther's 14 points in the game, 12 of them in the second half or later, was a personal best. He played a total of 23 minutes, the fifth time this season he has played at least 20 minutes.

In the past, the Eagles have played three double overtimes. The last time there was a double overtime was February 3rd, 1995, against Brandeis (Mass.).

This victory is Coach Brett Zuver's 83rd victory for the Eagles which makes him the winningest coach in Emory history.

This is Emory's 14th win of the season, which ties for the most wins by an Emory team since the 1989-90 season.

(Feb. 13) Emory University's (13-8, 5-6) Coach Brett Zuver won his 82nd career game at Emory in an 83-68 University Athletic Association win over University of Chicago which puts him in a tie for the winningest coach in Emory basketball history.

Zuver is tied with Lloyd Winston who was 82-70 over his six-year career (1986-1992). Zuver currently is 82-89 over his seven years at Emory. This marks Coach Zuver's 130th career win, dating back to his coaching days at Colorado College.

Jeff Hall scored 17 points, 12 of them coming from behind the arc, as he went four-for-five from three-point range. Hall ranks fourth in three-point field goal percentage and eighth in three-point field goals made per game in NCAA Division III basketball.

Sophomore Eric Barvin grabbed a career and game-high 12 rebounds breaking his old record of 10 set back on November 19, 2004 in a win against LaGrange (GA).

Chase Fawsett, Rashawn Allen, and Spiros Ferderigos added 23, 18, and 12 points respectively. Allen dished out a game-high seven assists with no turnovers.

The Eagles are one win shy of tying the most wins by an Emory team since the 1989-90 squad racked up 25 wins.

(Feb. 11) Chase Fawsett scored 24 points and racked up 15 rebounds to lead Emory University to an 80-64 win over Washington University (Mo.).

Fawsett led Emory in scoring for the 10th time this season, and the fifth time in a row. He led the Eagles in rebounding for the 12th time this season. The senior recorded the 23rd "double-double" of his career, and the sixth this season.He moved into third place on the school's all-time list for career points.

Jeff Hall recorded the first "double-double" of his career, scoring 19 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. He was three for seven from beyond the three-point arc. The junior was ranked fourth nationally in three-point field goal percentage and eighth in the nation in three-pointers per game at the beginning of this week.

Fawsett and Hall are the second pair of Eagles to put up "double-doubles" in the same game this season. Fawsett and Rashawn Allen performed this feat against the University of Chicago (Ill.) on Jan. 14, 2005.

Allen scored 19 points and dished out a team-high five assists. Freshman Spiros Ferderigos was nine for 11 from the free throw line on his way to 13 points.

Barry Corrado contributed off the bench, grabbing seven rebounds. He has 18 rebounds in his last three games.

The Eagles as a team racked up 55 rebounds in the game, the ninth highest total in school history.

The Eagles' victory was their first at home against Washington since Jan. 29, 1993. Emory's 16-point margin of victory is the third largest ever against Washington U., the largest being a 19-point victory on Feb. 17, 1989 (101-82).

Emory had the lead for the entirety of the game after opening up 15-0. The Eagles never allowed their lead to shrink below seven points.

(Feb. 6) Two Emory University players scored 20 points in a 95-84 loss at Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.). Chase Fawsett scored 26 points and Rashawn Allen scored 23 for the Eagles.

Fawsett was 10 of 20 from the field and added eight rebounds. It was his seventh 20-point game of the season.

For Allen it was his fifth 20-point effort this season.

Jeff Hall, among the national leaders in three-point field goals, added 18 points and six rebounds.

(Feb. 4) For the second consecutive game, Emory University lost a close contest to first-place University of Rochester (N.Y.), 64-61. Last Sunday, Emory was beaten at home by Rochester, 77-72.

Jeff Hall and Chase Fawsett each led Emory with 15 points apiece. Hall sank three of six shots from three-point territory. He began the week ranked fourth in the nation in Division III for three-point field percentage and 11th for three-point field goals made per game.

Barry Corrado grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench. He added two points, two steals, one assist and one block.

Emory used a 17-3 spurt in the final nine minutes of the first half to take a 35-28 halftime lead. The Eagles' last lead was 56-55 with 4:23 left in the game. Last Sunday, Emory led by one, 72-71, with 1:02 left in the contest.

(Jan. 30) Four Emory University players scored in double digits for the 12th time this season in a 77-72 University Athletic Association loss to first place University of Rochester (NY).

Chase Fawsett led Emory with 18 points shooting 7-of-15 from the line.

Jeff Hall dropped 16 points, including two from behind the arc. Hall's two three-point field goals gives him 26 consecutive games with a three-pointer, which breaks the tie for third longest such streak in school history.

Spiros Ferderigos shot 4-of-5 from the free throw line, chipping in with 15 points. Ferderigos, a freshman, is averaging 12.2 points per game and is on pace to be the third-highest scoring freshman in school history.

Rashawn Allen added 15 points, shooting a perfect five-for-five from the free-throw line.

Having trailed by 10 with 16 minutes in the half, Emory took the lead 70-67 with three minutes to play.

(Jan. 28) Eric Barvin's career night led Emory University to an 88-85 victory over Carnegie Mellon University (PA).

Barvin, a sophomore, reached personal highs on both sides of the ball. His six blocked shots were the most in his career and the most by an Emory player since David Schaaf had six against Carnegie Mellon on Feb. 24, 2001. Barvin also set a career high with 12 points on six of six shooting from the field. His nine rebounds led the team, making this the second consecutive game Barvin has led Emory in rebounding.

Jeff Hall, ranked eighth in the nation in three-point field goals per game and 15th nationally in three-point shooting percentage, was five for seven shooting from beyond the arc. The junior has made a three-pointer in 25 consecutive games, a streak that dates back to Jan. 25, 2004, against Carnegie Mellon. This is the third-longest streak in school history, matching Kevin Felner's 25-game streak from 1992-1993 [The record is 35 by Robert Spivey from Jan. 2001 to Feb. 2002].

Chase Fawsett led the team in scoring with 24 points, the third time he has led the team in the last four games. He also contributed seven rebounds.

Rashawn Allen went four for five from three-point range, including a three-pointer with less than 90 seconds left and the game tied that put Emory up for good, 86-83. He finished with 17 points.

The win moves the Eagles' record to 11-5, which matches the second best start in school history after 16 games.

(Jan. 25) Emory University garnered its 10th victory of the season in a 72-60 win over Oglethorpe University. This marks the third straight season the Eagles have won 10 or more games.

Four players scored in double digits for Emory for the 10th time this season. Emory has won eight of those 10 games.

Jeff Hall made six three-pointers en route to a game-high 22 points. Spiros Ferderigos scored 15 points, making 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Chase Fawsett scored 13 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Rashawn Allen went perfect from the free-throw line to score 12 points in the game.

Hall is ranked 10th in the nation in NCAA Division III for three-point field goals made per game.

Emory was down 26-20 with 5:40 left in the first half, when they went on a 17-2 run, 14 of those points coming from Hall. Of those 14 points, 12 of them from behind the arc, including one at the buzzer.

The Eagles are 10-5 on the season. This is the earliest since the 1997-98 season that the Eagles have reached 10 wins.

(Jan. 21) Chase Fawsett and Jeff Hall each scored 24 points to lead Emory University to a 95-89 victory over New York University.

Jeff Hall made nine of his 11 field goal attempts, including five of seven from three-point range. He scored 20 points for the eighth time this season. The junior's career-high previous to this season was 15 points.

Fawsett contributed nine rebounds in addition to his 24 points. This is the fifth time the senior has scored 20 points in a game this season.

Freshman Spiros Ferderigos narrowly missed the school record for free throws in a game, sinking 13 of his 14 attempts. [The record, 14 free throws made, is held by Tom Bolster (Feb. 96) and Richard Sommers (Jan. 02).] Ferderigos scored all of his 13 points at the free-throw line.

The Eagles' 95 points is a season high. Emory's 16 team assists is one shy of its season high, and its free throw percentage (.800) is its second best this season.

(Jan. 16) Four players scored in double digits for Emory University but it was not enough in an 84-74 conference loss at Washington University (Mo.).

Jeff Hall led the Eagles with 18 points, followed by Rashawn Allen, 16 points, Spiros Ferderigos, 16, and Chase Fawsett, 13.

Hall was six of 12 from the field, with all six field goals coming from three-point range. Allen added eight assists and six rebounds.

Emory is now 7-2 this season when at least four players score 10 or more points. The only other loss was the rematch at Maryville (Tenn.) Dec. 4.

(Jan. 14) Emory University suffered its first defeat in conference play, 62-57 at University of Chicago.

Chase Fawsett recorded his fourth "double double" of the season and his second in as many games with 16 points and 12 rebounds. He was 8-for-14 from the field.

Rashawn Allen racked up 17 points and 11 rebounds for his first "double double" of the season. Spiros Ferderigos chipped in with 12 points.

(Jan. 8) For the second consecutive game, three Emory University players scored 20 points as the Eagles beat Case Western Reserve University (Ohio), 90-83. This is the sixth time in school history the feat has been accomplished, but the first in back-to-back games.

Chase Fawsett, who scored less than 10 points for only the second time this season Wednesday, bounced back with a game-high 23 points thanks to 10 of 13 shooting from the field. He grabbed 10 rebounds for his third "double double" of the season.

Rashawn Allen scored 22 points and Jeff Hall talllied 21 points. The trio combined for 66 points, tying a school record for most points by three players in one game. The record is now shared by four sets of players, including Allen and Fawsett who contributed to a 66-point performance (along with Clayton Fuller) against Stillman (Ala.) on Feb. 26, 2003.

Shawn Bailey added season highs of 14 points and nine rebounds. Emory led for the entire second half except for a four-second span when Case briefly took a one-point lead.

Emory improves to 8-2 overall, 1-0 in the University Athletic Association. This is the second-best start in school history, surpassed only by the 1989-90 team that started 9-1 on the way to a 25-4 record, a second consecutive conference title and an NCAA tournament berth.

(Jan. 5) Three players each scored at least 20 points for Emory University as it opened the New Year with an 89-75 win against LaGrange College (Ga.).

Rashawn Allen led Emory with 23 points while Spiros Ferderigos and Jeff Hall scored 21 apiece. The trio combined for 65 points, one shy of a school record for most points in one game by three players.

This is the fifth time in school history, and the second in less than a year, that three Eagles reached 20 points in the same contest. The last time was Feb. 26, 2003, against Stillman (Ala.).

The Eagles made eight of 10 three-point shots in the first half to finish the game with 11 treys, which ties a season high. Emory also had 11 treys against Maryville (Tenn.) Dec. 4.

Emory improves to 7-2, the fourth time in the program's history that it has won at least seven of its first nine games. The Eagles head into their conference opener Saturday at Case Western Reserve (Ohio).

(Dec. 30) Jeff Hall capped a productive weekend with 22 points to help Emory University close out the calendar year with n 81-75 win against Babson College (Mass.). The game was part of the Tampa Bay Shootout in Tampa, Fla.

Hall reached the 20-point plateau for the third consecutive game and the fifth time in eight games this season. He was named to the all-tournament team. In the tournament, Hall tallied 48 points and 13 rebounds in two games.

Hall was one of five Eagles to reach double figures in scoring. Chase Fawsett scored 16, followed by Rashawn Allen, 13, Spiros Ferderigos, 12, and Shawn Bailey with 11 in his first start of the season. Alex Ford-Carther contributed seven points and two rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench.

Emory sank a school-record 38 free throws, breaking the previous mark of 35 set against Chicago in December 1987 and equaled against Savannah Art & Design (Ga.) in December 2002.

This is the fifth time in school history that Emory, now 6-2, has won at least six of its first eight games. The last time was two seasons ago when the Eagles started 7-1.

(Dec. 29) Jeff Hall scored a career-high 26 points but it was not enough for Emory University in an 85-77 loss to DePauw University (Ind.) in the Tampa Bay Shootout in Tampa, Florida.

This is Hall's fourth 20-point game of the season. Prior to this season, his career high for a single game was 15 points.

Rashawn Allen tallied 17 points and Chase Fawsett 16 points.

The Eagles play tomorrow in the consolation game against Babson College (Mass.).

(Dec. 20) All former Emory basketball players are invited to participate in an alumni game Saturday, Jan. 29.

The game is 2 p.m. at the Woodruff P.E. Center. (Coach promises no wind sprints for the losers.) Following the game will be an informal social.

The alumni game is surrounded by Emory conference games that weekend. The Eagles play Friday night against Carnegie Mellon and Sunday afternoon against Rochester.

(Dec. 4) Four starters scored in double digits as Emory University fell at Maryville College (Tenn.) 90-75, its first loss of the season.

Co-captain Jeff Hall led the team in scoring with 21 points, shooting four of six from behind the three-point arc and going a perfect seven for seven from the line. He also grabbed a team-high six rebounds and dished out two assists.

Rashawn Allen scored 15 points and dished out a team-high four assists. He also had a season-high four steals in the game.

Co-captain Chase Fawsett and Eric Barvin scored 10 points each, while grabbing three and four rebounds, respectively.

The Eagles are off to their third-best start in school history, having won their first five of six games.

(Dec. 1) Emory University remained unbeaten and set a season high for points scored in a 93-73 win against Oglethorpe University (Ga.).

The Eagles are now off to a 5-0 start for the third time in school history. The other two times were the 1988-89 season and the 2002-03 season.

This is the second time this season Emory has reached the 90-point plateau. The other was Nov. 27 in a 90-77 win at Washington & Lee University (Va.). The Eagles' offense is averaging 83.8 points per game this season.

Emory scored the first 15 points of the game to take a 42-26 halftime lead. They then scored the first 11 points of the second half.

Rashawn Allen scored a game-high and season-high 25 points, and dished out eight assists before fouling out with five minutes to play. This is his second 20-point effort and eight-assist performance of the season.

Chase Fawsett recorded his second "double double" of the season with 21 points and 10 rebounds. It was the 19th "double double" of his career, tying him for second place on the school's all-time list, alongside Lewis Satterwhite (1996-99).

Five Emory players scored in double figures. Besides Allen and Fawsett, Jeff Hall had 12 points, Spiros Ferderigos, 11, and Alex Ford-Carther, a career-high 10 points.

(Nov. 28) Two Emory University players recorded 20-point performances to help the unbeaten Eagles defeat Lynchburg College (Va.).

Jeff Hall scored a game-high 23 points and Rashwan Allen scored 20 points. This is the first time two Emory players reached 20 points in the same game since Jan. 30, 2004, against New York University.

Hall equaled his career high of 23 points set this year in the season opener Nov. 19 against LaGrange College (Ga.). He added six rebounds.

Allen was six of eight from the field, four of five from behind the three-point arc, and four of five at the free throw line.

Spiros Ferderigos added 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Emory converted 15 of 19 free throws in the second half.

This is the third time in school history Emory has started a season 4-0. The others were 1988-89 and 2002-03. Both of those teams won their first seven games before losing.

(Nov. 27) Chase Fawsett scored a career-high 35 points to help Emory University remain unbeaten with a 90-77 win at Washington & Lee University (Va.).

Fawsett sank 14 of 20 field goal attempts and seven of eight free throws. He surpassed his previous high of 31 points set against Brandeis (Mass.) on Feb. 6 of last season.

The 35 points is the fourth highest ever in a game by an Eagle, four shy of the school record held by Terry Gorsuch, against Brandeis on Jan. 20, 1989.

Fawsett, a senior center, also pulled down 12 rebounds for his "double double" of the season. It is the 18th "double double" of his career, tying him with David Schaaf (1998-2001) for third most in school history. Ahead of Fawsett are Lewis Satterwhite (1996-99) with 19 and former All-American Tim Garrett (1987-90) with 57.

Contributing to Emory's season high of 90 points were Jeff Hall with 17 points, Spiros Ferderigos, 16, and Rashawn Allen, 10. The Eagles are averaging 84.3 points offensively for the season.

Emory converted 14 of 18 free throws in the second half.

(Nov. 20) Chase Fawsett's 23 points powered Emory University to an 81-77 upset of the No. 22 ranked team in the nation, Maryville College (Tenn.).

Fawsett also played a pivotal role in the last time Emory beat Maryville on Nov. 23, 2002. In that contest, Fawsett scored 16 points, including a shot at the buzzer, for the 82-81 win against a team then listed among "others" receiving votes in the national rankings.

Fawsett converted nine of 16 field goal attempts and pulled down nine rebounds.

Also scoring in double digits were Jeff Hall (17 points), Rashawn Allen (12) and Barry Corrado (10). Hall made five treys. Allen added eight assists. Corrado surpassed his previous career high of six points and also grabbed seven boards.

Emory was 15 of 19 from the free throw line, including 11 of 13 in the second half. After two games this season, Emory is shooting 82.5 percent from the line as a team. Last season, the Eagles were 27th in the nation in NCAA Division III for team free throw percentage (74.6 percent).

Last season, Maryville advanced to the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Division III national tournament.

(Nov. 19) Jeff Hall scored a career-high 23 points to help Emory University open its season with an 82-63 win against LaGrange College (Ga.).

Hall shattered his previous high of 15 points. He was 6-for-14 from the field, including four three-pointers, and a perfect 7-for-7 at the line.

Also scoring in double digits were Chase Fawsett (17 points), Rashawn Allen (11) and Spiros Ferderigos (10). Ferderigos is the first Emory freshman to score 10 or more in a season opener since Robert Spivey scored 17 against Oglethorpe (Ga.) on Nov. 17, 2000.

Emory sank 18 of 21 free throws. Last season, the Eagles were 27th in the nation in NCAA Division III for team free throw percentage.

Emory improves its all-time record in season openers to 13-6, including wins in four of the last five seasons.

(Nov. 4) Emory University is predicted to finish fourth in the University Athletic Association this season, according to the UAA pre-season coaches' poll. Emory received 23 points.

Defending champion Rochester (NY) is slated to again finish first in the UAA as they received 47 votes. Right behind them, with 45 points, was Washington University (MO), and filling out the top three was New York University who received 37 votes.

The Eagles finished sixth last season in the UAA, however defeated Washington University, conference runner-up, and lost by three points to Rochester, then ranked second in the nation.
