2004-05
(Feb. 28) Emory University's
Beth Bergmann has been selected to the University Athletic
Association All-Association second team.
This is the second season in a row
that Bergmann has been honored by the conference. Last season,
she received honorable mention as a freshman.
Bergmann has the eighth-highest free-throw
percentage in the nation and the highest in conference-only
games.
Her scoring average was the sixth
best in the UAA in conference-only games. The sophomore also
ranked fourth in three-point field goal percentage and eighth
in steals per game.
Bergmann led Emory University this
season in scoring, steals, free-throw percentage, and assists.
(Feb. 26) Katie Bergfeld's
season-high 20 points were not enough as Emory University
(7-18, 3-11) fell to conference opponent Case Western Reserve
University (Ohio) 70-66 in overtime.
In the season's final game, Bergfeld went seven-of-thirteen
from the field and six-of-eight from the free-throw line.

from the field, while grabbing eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard Beth Bergmann set a single-season school record
by making 98 free throws. She shot .860 from the free-throw
line good enough for third place all-time in a single season
at Emory. Bergmann made 41 three-pointers, which places her
sixth on the single-season record books.
The 2004-05 Emory women's team now ranks third all-time in
school history for three-point field goals made in a season
with 103.
(Feb. 22) Beth Bergmann's 23 points

Bergmann has scored 20 or more points
four times this season and six times in her career. She has
led the Eagles in scoring 11 times this season.

field goals, giving her 80 for her career. Tonight's game
moved her into fifth place in the Emory record book for three-point
field goals made in a career. She only needs two to tie Sally
Goldberg for fourth place all-time.
Lynn Oberschmidt scored 19 points,
the most the junior has scored since dropping 24 against Oglethorpe
University (Ga.) last Dec. 1.
Katie Bergfeld grabbed 13 rebounds,
matching her career-high, to lead Emory in rebounding for
the sixth consecutive game. She has 59 rebounds in those six

it to overtime.
The Eagles' 51 rebounds are a season-high,
and Emory's 78 points are the third-highest total it has put
up this season.
This was the Eagles' first overtime

(Md.). Emory's last overtime win was a 56-55 victory over
Johns Hopkins, Jan. 15, 1999.
