Senior (2005):
Carr finished his Emory career in
style, picking up a win in his final game, a 5-4 win over
LaGrange College (Ga.), ranked 19th in the nation. The senior
won 27 games in his Emory career, third in school history.
Earlier in the season, Carr tied the NCAA all-division record
-- and set a new Division III record --- with 26 consecutive
victories, compiled over three seasons. Carr finished 2005
with four wins, leading the team in innings pitched and starts.
He had a complete game win March 2 over Adrian College (Mich.),
allowing only two earned runs in nine innings.
Junior (2004):
Carr was named second team all-America,
regional co-pitcher of the year, first team all-region, and
first team all-conference. He had a 13-0 record, placing him
second in the nation for most wins in Division III, one behind
the eventual World Series MVP. Carr was one of two pitchers
in the nation to compile a perfect record with 10 or more
wins this season. Carr’s 13 victories were an Emory
single-season record and in three years on the team he has
never registered a loss (his career record is 23-0). In addition
to leading Emory in wins, Carr was first in innings pitched
and threw the team’s only two complete games of the
season. He is fifth all time in the Emory record book for
career wins. At the conference tournament, Carr went 2-0,
winning games both as a starter and reliever.
Sophomore
(2003):
Carr began the season in the bullpen,
but eventually worked his way into the rotation, started seven
games and finished the year with a 10-0 record. Carr's 10
wins on the season are the second most in school history for
a single season (and fourth in the nation) and he broke the
record for relief wins in a season. Carr's 24 appearances
ties him with two others for the second most in Emory history.
He recorded 27 strikeouts, just 13 walks and posted a 4.11
ERA over the season.
Freshman (2002):
Carr pitched 13.2 innings in nine
appearances for the Eagles. He had a 2.63 ERA with 12 strikeouts
and one save.
