Senior (2007):
Babb finished his Emory career as one of the school’s most accomplished closers. His 11 career saves are the second most in school history, his 2.55 earned run average is the eighth-best in school history, and his 64 career appearances are the second most for an Emory pitcher. Babb was named to the All-Region Second Team in 2007, and finished the year with an 8-2 record a 1.48 ERA and 45 strikeouts with 48.2 innings pitched over a team-high 26 appearances. His six saves during the season were the 23rd-most in Division III this season, and his eight wins were the 32nd-most in the nation. His victory total also set an Emory record for the most wins out of the bullpen in a season by an Eagle. At the Division III Championship, Babb did not allow an earned run in 5.1 innings pitched, striking out four batters. He pitched in each of the Eagles’ final three games of the NCAA Regional Tournament, and was the pitcher of record in the Eagles’ 6-5 tournament-clinching victory against Ferrum College (Va.), throwing 1.2 scoreless innings to close out the 12-inning game. Babb pitched seven innings of relief against Maryville College (Tenn.), the longest outing of his career, allowing just three hits and striking out four. He showed his prowess at the plate as well during the season, belting a three run home run in his first at bat of the season against the University of the South (Tenn.).
Junior (2006):
Babb pitched 25.2 innings this season, recording 21 strikeouts. He had a season-high three strikeouts on two occasions against Oglethorpe University (Ga.) on March 2 and Washington University (Mo.) on March 17. He finished the season with a record of 3-2 and 4 saves to go with a 3.86 ERA.
Sophomore (2005):
Sophomore pitcher made 11 appearances
in 2005, striking out 12 in 14.1 innings. Struck out at least
one batter in eight appearances.
Freshman (2004):
Babb did not allow a run in nine
appearances and held opposing batters to a .143 batting average.
He earned his first collegiate victory with three innings
of shutout relief against Rochester (N.Y.) March 7.

Prior to Emory:
Attended Ashland High School, where he played on the baseball team for four seasons... Served as the team captain during his senior season... Was named to the Tri-Valley League All-Star first team in 2002, and the second team in 2001 and 2003... Was the team's most valuable player in 2002...
