Senior (2007):

Glushon ends his Emory career as one of the most decorated pitchers in Emory history.  In 2007, he was named a second-team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), a third All-American by d3baseball.com, and the South Region Pitcher of the Year by both the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the ABCA.  Glushon became the 10th All-American in the program’s history and the first outright Emory winner of both South Region Pitcher of the Year Awards.  He also became the first Emory pitcher to be named to the All-NCAA Division III Championship Tournament team, after compiling a 1.93 earned run average with 12 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched.  Glushon was named the University Athletic Association Player of the Year, throwing 16 innings during the conference tournament without allowing a run, while striking out 15 batters en route to two victories.  Glushon worked harder than any other Emory pitcher in the school’s history, throwing an Emory single-season record 125.1 innings (11th-most in Division III history), over a school-record 17 starts (10th-most in Division III history).  The wear and tear on the senior’s arm didn’t show in his performance however, as he set a school record with 13 wins during the season (the second-most in the nation during the year), while recording a 2.23 earned run average (the 56th-best in Division III) and striking out 112 batters, the third-most in the nation and fourth-most in school history.  Glushon recorded a streak of 45.2 innings pitched without issuing a walk, from April 23, 2006 until March 13, 2007, and finished his career with the lowest career walks per game ratio in school history (1.10), and the three best single season walks per game ratios in school history.  His 2.32 career ERA is the third-best in school history and his 29 career wins are third best in the Emory records (he finished his career with a 29-4 record).  Following the 2007 season Jason Glushon signed a free agent contract with the Oakland Athletics.

Junior (2006):

Glushon appeared in 14 contests on the mound for Emory, while earning second team All-UAA honors.  He led the team in victories with a record of 9-2 and an ERA of 1.86.  Against Brandeis University (Mass.) in the UAA tournament he pitched 8 innings and struck out 10 batters, while allowing four hits.  Also led the team in strike outs with 76.

Sophomore (2005):

Glushon earned a spot on the all-region second team for the first time. He began his season working out of the bullpen, but finished as a starter. The sophomore led the team in wins -- with a 5-0 record -- and also compiled a 2.55 earned run average in 67 innings pitched. His 2.55 ERA was the fourth-best in Emory history for a first-year starter (minimum 50 innings pitched). Glushon worked into the sixth inning in seven of his 10 starts. His best start came April 3 against LaGrange College (Ga.), when he gave up seven hits, zero runs and struck out five in 7.2 innings to lead Emory to a shutout win. Glushon also finished the season with two saves.

Freshman (2004):

Glushon pitched seven and one-third innings of shutout relief for his first collegiate win, Feb. 29 against York (Pa.). He made nine appearances and finished the year 2-0 with a 3.71 ERA in 26.2 innings and walked just one batter.
