Junior (2007):

Widyn appeared in seven games out of the bullpen for the Eagles during the 2007 campaign, compiling a 1-1 record with a 4.05 ERA.  His best outing came in the University Athletic Association (UAA) Tournament, when he struck out six batters in two innings against Case Western Reserve University (Ohio).  The junior earned the first win of his career against Oglethorpe University (Ga.) on April 10th.

Prior to Emory:

Played on the Locust Valley High School baseball team for four seasons, serving as the captain of the team during his senior year... Earned all-County honors in 2004 and all-Conference honors in 2003... Recorded a 7-1 record with 92 strikouts during the 2003 and 2004 seasons... Coached by Joseph Ciliano... Also played on the varsity football, wrestling and bowling teams.
