Junior (2008):

Cournoyer pitched in 10 games for the Eagles during the season, making one start.  He recorded a 1-2 record and a 8.66 earned run average over the campaign, striking out six batters in 17.2 innings pitched.  The junior’s best outing of the season came on April 1st, when he pitched two hitless innings against Oglethorpe University, as part of a 15-10 Emory win.  Opponents hit just .250 (10-for-40) off Cournoyer with the bases empty, and .200 (4-for-20) with two outs.

Sophomore (2007):

Cournoyer appeared in 10 games and made two starts for the Eagles in 2007, after transferring to Emory prior to the start of the season.  He finished his inaugural Emory season with a 1-0 record and a 4.72 earned run average, striking out 11 batters in 13.1 innings pitched.  The sophomore earned a victory in his first Emory start, pitching four scoreless innings against Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) at the University Athletic Association tournament.  Cournoyer pitched a perfect ninth inning against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
