Senior (2004):

Senior Jason Scherr finished 19th out of 120 golfers at the NCAA championships. After opening with a 79 that left him in 61st place, Scherr rallied by shooting 72-72 the last two rounds. Only five golfers had lower scores the final two days than Scherr's combined 144. Scherr later received honorable mention All-America honors in recognition of his regular-season performance. He was named to the all-region team for the second time in his career and to the all-conference team for the third time. Scherr finished third in the Georgia Cup, based on season-long performances in selected tournament by NCAA Division III golfers.For the third consecutive year, Scherr set the school record for lowest season scoring average, this time with 73.68 shots per round. He now owns the three of the four best season scoring averages in Emory history. Scherr shot under 80 in all 25 of his rounds this season, and under 77 in 21 rounds. He finished in the top 10 in five tournaments this season and in the top 20 in all but one of his 12 tournaments (the only miss being 24th place). Scherr was the co-medalist, along with teammate Timothy Hamm, at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Invitational. He also was the medalist at the Oglethorpe Invitational. That made him the fifth Eagle golfer ever to win two tournaments in a single season. He broke another of his school records by shooting a 66 at the Camp Lejeune Invitational I. For the season, Scherr had a won-loss record of 904-116. He graduates with a career scoring average of 74.43, another school record.

Junior (2003):

Scherr finished the season with a 74.7 scoring average, the best ever by an Eagle. He finished 28th of 120 individual competitors with a score of 299 at the NCAA Division III national championships. This ranks as the third-lowest NCAA championship score ever by an Eagle. Scherr made the All-Georgia team based on his scores in this season's Georgia Division III Championships where he compiled a 73.9 scoring average in seven designated tournaments. Scherr's low round of the season, a 67 at Emory Fall Invitational, ranks as the best round in school history. In the Emory Fall Invitational, Scherr finished second, equaling his best finish of the season, to earn all-tournament recognition. Scherr also finished second at the Emory Spring Invitational to earn all-tournament recognition. In the Emory Spring Invitational, Scherr finished ahead of the player ranked No. 1 nationally at the time, six of the national top-10 golfers, 11 of the top 20, 16 of the top 30, and 24 of the top 50. Scherr was named to the All-Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Sophomore (2002):

Scherr was the runner-up at the conference championship, one shot behind teammate Brandon Davis. Scherr shot a 150 for that tournament, the 13th best ever by an Eagle at that event. Earlier in the season, he recorded a 144 (71-73) at the Pfeiffer Invitational, which was the sixth-best 36-hole tournament score in school history. Scherr was ranked 25th in the region and 58th in the nation among 1,244 NCAA Division III golfers according to Golfstat. He recorded head-to-head wins against four golfers ranked in the top 20 nationally, according to Golfstat. The sophomore broke 80 in 17 of 18 rounds this season. He finished among the top 30 individuals in eight of nine tournaments, and in the top 10 in four tournaments.
