Junior (2003-04):
In his second season at Emory, forward
Clayton Fuller earned All-University Athletic Association second-team
honors. In conference play, Fuller ranked fourth in steals, sixth
in free throw percentage, ninth in points, and 12th in rebounds.
Fuller led the team in rebounds, steals and free throws made. He
finished second in scoring, nine points behind the leader, and in
assists. He shot 75.9 percent from the line. Fuller had season career
highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, free throws
made, and three pointers made. He had seven "double doubles"
on the season and had 13 games with 20 or more points. Fuller started
off the season with four consecutive "double doubles"
and averaged just more than 24 points in the first six games. He
scored 31 points, his career high, in a loss against Maryville (TN)
shooting 83 percent from the field and was one rebound shy of a
"double double." Fuller scored a game-high 21 points in
a three point loss to the University of Rochester (NY), ranked second
in the nation. After two seasons, Fuller ranks eighth all-time in
school history in career free throws made, 15th in career points
and steals, 16th in rebounds, and 19th in field goals made.
Sophomore (2002-03):
The team’s Rookie of the Year, Clayton
Fuller made an immediate impact as an Eagle when he averaged 17.8
points in his first six games with Emory and was named the MVP of
Emory’s Tipoff Classic. Fuller led the team in scoring throughout
the season until the second-to-last game. In the last game of the
season, he recorded his first "double double" at Emory
with 11 points and 10 rebounds against Case Western Reserve (Ohio).
Fuller finished with 21 double-digit scoring games, good for the
team high. His .807 free-throw percentage led the team and helped
this year’s squad finish with a .742 free-throw percentage,
which is the best ever at Emory and one that ranks 23rd best nationally
after regular season games. Fuller finished second on the team in
scoring, blocked shots, and three-point field goal percentage and
third in rebounds and steals. Fuller was named to the all-conference
second team. He led the UAA in free throw percentage, ranked fifth
in scoring and was seventh in steals.
