Sophomore (2003-04):

In his second season with the Eagles, sophomore guard Justin Zale was named the team's Most Improved Player. Zale played in 24 games this season, scoring in all but four. In a win over Carnegie Mellon (PA), Zale had career highs of 12 points and seven rebounds. He was 4-of-7 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. At New York University, Zale again scored 12 points, making 8-of-9 from the free throw line and grabbed seven boards. In those two games alone, Zale had more points (24), free throws (12) and rebounds (14) than the entire previous season. Zale had season highs in points, assists, rebounds, blocks, steals, free throws made, and played almost seven times as many minutes this season.

Played in 11 games. Scored a season and career-high 10 points against Case Western Reserve Mar. 1, 2003.
