The senior finished in the top seven for the Eagles in the final five meets of the season including his first appearance in the NCAA national meet. He ran a season-best time of 27 minutes and 53 seconds at the Clemson Invitational.

Junior (2003):

Ahmed ran a season-best time of 27 minutes and 22 seconds at the Southeastern Classic where he finished 53rd out of 203 runners. He finished seventh for the Eagles at the Georgia State Invitational.
