Senior (2004):
Defender Kevin McCarthy helped Emory
record 10 shutouts, the most by an Eagle defense since 1986.
The senior was named to the all-region third team, the first
time in his career that he has been awarded the honor. McCarthy
started all 14 games he played in, increasing his career total
to 68 starts, the fifth most in school history and second
most by a defender. He picked up assists in two consecutive
games on Sept. 24 and Sept. 26. McCarthy was named to the
UAA all-conference second team for his defensive contributions
this season.
Junior (2003):
In addition to making the all-conference
first team, Kevin McCarthy was a part of a defense that recorded
a school-record 0.69 team goals against average. His efforts
on defense helped Emory rank No. 28 in the nation in NCAA's

announced in January). The junior sweeper helped the team
allow 17 fewer goals this season than last season--the biggest
single-season improvement in goals against in school history.

Quote:
"Being part of the Emory soccer
program has been a truly satisfying experience for me. Whether
it's teammates, coaches, or staff, everyone is focused on
helping the team achieve success on the field and develop
as individuals off the field. Emory soccer has been so integral
to my college experience that I can't imagine what college
would have been like without it."
