Senior (2003-04):
In his senior season Seymour finished third
in the 100-yard freestyle at the national championships. He also
swam a leg on the 200-, 400-, and 800-yard freestyle relays and
the 400-yard medley relay, helping him accumulate a school record-tying
five All-America citations in one season. Seymour will graduate
with 12 career All-America citations, the second most in school
history. Seymour earned All-America honorable mention by finishing
ninth in the 200-yard free. He swam the team's fastest times of
the season in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events. Seymour placed
fourth on the team out of 32 competitors in points scored in dual
and championship meets.
Junior (2002-03):
Seymour earned three All-America certificates
as a member of the 200- and 800-yard freestyle relays and the 400-yard
medley relay. He has a career total of seven All-America certificates.
Seymour was honored once this season as both a conference and Emory
Athlete of the Week. He had the team's top time this season in the
100- and 200-yard freestyle events. Seymour now holds three of the
top five times in school history in the 100-yard freestyle. Seymour
finished first on the team among the team's 32 competitors for most
points earned in dual and championship meets.
Sophomore (2001-02):
Seymour earned his first career All-America
certificates as a member of four relays (200-yard freestyle,
400-yard freestyle, 800-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley).
His 100-yard freestyle swim in the 400-yard freestyle relay
broke a school record and his individual performance in the
200-yard freestyle was the second fastest in school history.
He was given the team's Most Improved Athlete award.
