At the NCAA Division III national championships, Sutter finished fifth in the one-meter diving competition and seventh in the third-meter diving competition. Sutter is the third diver in Emory history to earn an All-America certificate and only the second diver in school history to earn All-America certificates in both events at the same championship. This is the second straight year that Sutter has participated in the NCAA championships. Sutter earned two all-conference honors this season in these same two events. Sutter finished second and third, respectively, in the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions at the conference meet. Sutter finished 14th out of 40 competitors on the team in points scored in dual and championship meets this season.

Junior (2003-04):

Sutter was named the conference Diver of the Year after winning both diving events at the University Athletic Association championships. He was the second Emory diver ever to sweep both boards at the conference meet. Sutter's winning score at the UAAs on the one-meter board, 466.90, was the seventh-best score in school history for any meet. He placed ninth on the one-meter board at the NCAA national championships to attain honorable mention All-America status.

"Aside from the hot tub by the diving boards, the thing I like most about Emory is the great group of people on the swim team who work together and get along so well."
