Freshman (2006-07):

Petroff earned All-America honors as part of the Eagles’ 400-medley relay team, and an All-America honorable mention in the 400-medley relay.  He swam in six different events throughout the season for the Eagles, earning a total of 187.50 points.  The freshman recorded top-five times by an Emory swimmer last season in both the 100- and 200-butterfly.

Prior to Emory:

Attended Springfield Worth High School, where he swam for four seasons... Served as the co-captain of the team duringhis senior year... Competed in the 100 and 200 meter butterfly and the 200 meter IM... Named a high school all-American... Coached by Dave Johnson... Finished in 4th place in the 200 meter butterfly and 6th place in the 100 meter butterfly at the 2006 YMCA National Championships... Finished in fifth place in the 100 meter butterfly at the Ohio High School State Championships.
