Sloan earned All-University Athletic Association (UAA) honors for his performance as part of the 200-freestyle relay team. He competed in five different events for the Eagles throughout the season, earning 61.50 points.

Prior to Emory:

Attended Detroit Country Day School, where he was a four-year letterwinner on the swimming and diving team... Was an All-American and All-State swimmer... Coached by Marc Fazio in high school.
