Junior (2005):
Returning to the field, junior Adrienne DeMarais, who finished last season in the goal, scored three goals in 16 games. Her three goals tied for third most on the team and her seven points tied for fourth most. Her best individual game was a one-goal, one-assist game against Oglethorpe.
Sophomore (2004):
After scoring 20 points as a freshman,
Adrienne DeMarais switched from scoring goals to stopping
them as a sophomore by filling in after Emory's top two goalkeepers
went were injured. DeMarais became the Eagles' full-time keeper
in the 10th game of the season, and started by earning shutouts
in her first five complete games in the goal. She was 6-0
in conference play helping the Eagles to a conference championship
and earning honorable mention for the all-conference team.
In 11 games after becoming full-time goalie, she posted a
0.44 goals against average, earned seven shutouts, and had
a 9-2 record. She was selected conference Athlete of the Week
on October 11 for her two shutouts the previous week, including
one against the No. 11 team in the nation. DeMarais' 0.55
goals against average for the whole season ranks seventh in
Emory history and 20th in the nation. Her total of seven shutouts
this season is the fourth best total in school history.
Freshman (2003):
Scored six goals in first three games
of season. Recorded hat trick, all in the first half, against
Millsaps (Miss.) Aug. 31. Ninth Emory freshman ever to have
a hat trick. Honored as the conference "Athlete of the
Week" Sept. 3. Finished third on the team with 20 points
(7 goals, 6 assists). Tied for the team lead with two game-winning
assists, one against Agnes Scott (Ga.) Sept. 28 and Washington
(Mo.) Oct. 11. One of five players to start all 19 games.
