Senior (2006-07):
Lawler completed her stellar Emory career by earning all-America honors in the 200-freestyle relay, 400-medley relay, 800-freestyle relay and 400-freestyle relay. Her contributions helped the Eagles record school-record times in the 200-freestyle relay, 400-freestyle relay, and 800-freestyle relay. Lawler also received an all-America honorable mention in the 50 freestyle. Her 14 all-America certificates over her Emory career was the fourth-best total in school history. Lawler was honored for her academic abilities as well during the season, receiving a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America second team. Competing in the freestyle and backstroke events for the Eagles, Lawler scored 100 points in meets throughout the season.
Junior (2005-06):
Lawler, a junior, earned three All-America certificates this season with her second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, her third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, and her fifth place finish in the 400-yard medley relay. She also received three All-America Honorable Mention honors. At the conference championships this season, Lawler led the team with six All-Conference honors. She also earned the title of Conference Champion in four events with her wins in the 100-yard backstroke competition, the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 400-yard freestyle relay, and the 400-yard medley relay
Sophomore (2004-05):
Sophomore Jamie Lawler earned three
All-America awards at the NCAA national championships. She
was a member of the All-America 200- and 400-yard medley relays
and 200-yard freestyle relay. At the conference championships
Lawler finished third in the 100-yard backstroke event. Lawler
is the fastest individual in Emory history in the 100-yard
backstroke. Lawler was fourth on the team out of 39 competitors
in points scored in dual and championship meets.
Freshman (2003-04):
Freshman Jamie Lawler placed sixth
in the 100-yard backstroke at the national championships.
Her time of 58 seconds flat broke the school record. She was
also a member of the All-American 200- and 400-yard medley
relays and the 200-yard freestyle relay. Lawler earned All-America
honorable mention recognition in the 50-yard freestyle. She
was voted the team's Rookie of the Year.
