Freshman (2006-07):

Psaris’ completed an extremely successful freshman season with the Eagles, earning six all-America certificates during the campaign and setting school records in four events.  She was an all-American in the 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly, and as part of the 400-medley relay, 400-freestyle relay and 800-freestyle relay teams.  Psaris became just the third Eagle freshman to earn three or more all-America honors in individual events.  Her times of 55.96 and 2:02.04 in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly, respectively, were both school records and the fourth-best times in Division III history.  She was also part of the Emory-record setting 400- and 800-freestyle relay teams.  Psaris’ six all-America certificates are the second-most by an Emory freshman.  She was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year, after winning two events and earned all-association honors in three others.  Psaris led the team with 515.75 points in meets throughout the season, the best total by an Eagle by over 100 points.

Prior to Emory:

Competed on The Madeira School swimming team for four seasons, serving as the captain during her senior season... Swam in the 100 meter fly and freestyle... Was named the Madeira School Swimmer of the Year in 2004 and 2006... Holder of four state records and had four all-American times... Was coached by Rod Montrie in high school, and by club coach Mike Pliuskiatis.
