Freshman (2006-07):
Psaris’ completed an extremely successful freshman season with the Eagles, earning six all-America certificates during the campaign and setting school records in four events. She was an all-American in the 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly, and as part of the 400-medley relay, 400-freestyle relay and 800-freestyle relay teams. Psaris became just the third Eagle freshman to earn three or more all-America honors in individual events. Her times of 55.96 and 2:02.04 in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly, respectively, were both school records and the fourth-best times in Division III history. She was also part of the Emory-record setting 400- and 800-freestyle relay teams. Psaris’ six all-America certificates are the second-most by an Emory freshman. She was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year, after winning two events and earned all-association honors in three others. Psaris led the team with 515.75 points in meets throughout the season, the best total by an Eagle by over 100 points.
