Preseason All-American Joe Roth paced Emory at the plate, going three-for-three with a double, an RBI, a run scored, two walks, and two stolen bases during the game. The senior upped his season batting average to a team-leading .467, and is now tied for the team lead with four RBIs this season.
Emory got on the board in the bottom of the third inning, as Roth scored after singling, stealing second, and advancing home on a wild pitch. The Eagles added two more runs in the frame with a bases-loaded single for freshman catcher Jeremy Bolian, on a 0-2 pitch with two outs in the inning.
Greensboro starting pitcher Jordan Dorsett pitched four innings in the loss, dropping to 3-1 on the campaign.
